When it comes to SEO a lot of people go wrong right from the start. Not only do they not know what they need to do to show up in the search engines, they don’t even know what to show up for.

Good SEO starts with good keyword research, i.e. knowing what you need to show up for Google offers free tools for this.

Secondly don’t bite off more than you can chew. That is don’t start by trying to show up for keywords that multimillion dollar companies have already spent tens of thousands of dollars optimizing for. Start small and work your way up.

And like Ken said, avoid the scams they’re a dime a dozen.
