Many managers I speak with believe employee morale is fine at work. Things are different when I talk to some of the employees. The number one complaint is the lack of appreciation.

Your job as a manager of living, breathing employees, is much more challenging then that of a mechanic. So treat them with respect. They are your number one assets!
